Trefiano Riserva 2008 – Capezzana (Carmignano DOCG)

A refined, mature Tuscan wine with great character and depth.
The aroma invites with notes of cherry and blackberry, spices such as clove and a light smokiness, as well as a hint of dark chocolate and oriental spices.
The taste is silky and well-balanced with integrated tannins, fresh acidity and an elegant minerality that carries the wine's complexity. The finish is persistent with notes of dark fruit, spices and light forest floor. Blend: approx. 80% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Canaiolo. 
Aging: at least 18 months in French oak tonneaux followed by bottle aging. 

Ready to drink now, but still has potential until 2040 to develop more tertiary nuances. 
Perfect companion to grilled meats, game, strong cheeses, and dishes with truffle or foresty elements.
Serving temperature: approx. 18 °C – decant preferably 1 hour before serving to open up the aromas.
